By using the powerful Feng Shui symbol, the mirror, Diana Lui has created an original installation, “Infinite River”, an undulating mirror 15 meters (50 feet) long at the entrance of Pont de Rochemaure, a 19th century bridge built by famous French engineer Marc Seguin perched over the powerful Rhône river. Another mirror is placed inside the niche above the same bridge entrance where the statue of Sainte Marie Réparatrice used to stand. This installation has been commissioned by the Ardèche region for contemporary art "Sentier du Rhône".
En mariant deux mondes différents, celui d’une Chine traditionnelle et celui du pays où elle habite depuis plus de dix ans, Diana Lui, avec son projet d’installation ”Rivière infinie”, propose une création originale. Créant une synergie avec les éléments naturels du site de Rochemaure, l’eau, la terre et le ciel, l’artiste s’inspire du Feng Shui, l’art chinois d’harmoniser l’énergie environnementale. Une sculpture se déployant tout en longueur, consiste en un miroir ondulant de 15 mètres installé à l’entrée du pont de Rochemaure. Dans la niche qui abritait la statue à l’effigie de Sainte Marie Réparatrice, un grand miroir épousant la forme de la niche a été encastré. Sentier du Rhône 2010 est organisé par les municipalités de Tournon-sur-Rhône, Le Teil, Rochemaure, La Voulte-sur-Rhône, Viviers et Bourg-St-Andéol, Cruas.
